Judgment Debtor Examinations

Judgment Debtor Examinations

It can be a difficult, seemingly endless process to recover funds that are owing. The paralegals at Collectrite Paralegal Services work for you. Another enforcement measure used commonly in the Ontario Justice system is the Judgment Debtor Examination.

This a legal proceeding whereby the debtor is put under oath and is required to reveal the whereabouts and disbursements of any and all income. This includes all income, property, and any dispositions of property plus the potential of any more sources of income in the future. After this information has been collected the complete report can be provided to the sheriff in order to issue a writ. From this point, if the Debtor will not voluntarily satisfy the judgment, a wage garnishment or other payment recovery process can take place.
Collectrite Paralegal Services lead in small claims court representation up to $25,000. Offices in Hamilton, Mississauga and Kitchener-Waterloo, we provide our services to all of Southern Ontario.
